Self-Proclaimed Liberal Elitist Actually Speaks Truth to Power: Required Reading if the Dems Want to Win back Congress

This has to be the most cogently written post-mortem by a self-titled liberal elitist that I have ever read. It is a strait-up must read for Coastal Liberal elitists.
There are plenty of liberals out there in middle America, and plenty of liberalish moderates, and plenty of people who lean conservative but who aren’t consumed by rage and who think Barack Obama is a pretty cool guy and who might even have voted for him. These people are potential allies. But before the alliance can be struck, elite liberals need to recognize a fundamental truth: All of these people in middle America, even the actual liberals, have very different sensibilities than elite liberals who live on the coasts.
They also hate when liberals on the coast belittle them and say they "cling to guns and religion" who live in "fly-over states." I am actually in that last group not consumed with rage and think Obama was a pretty decent guy. I didn't vote for him either time but I don't think he destroyed America or other nonsense. I think a black guy winning two terms just a few hundred years since we were a slave owning nation (and a few decades from separate drinking fountains) is quite an achievement.

I think the leftward movement on civil and gender rights and such is a move in the right direction. For the most part I think letting Larry and Steve marry doesn't destroy the family or needs the constitution changed to break them up. I don't want the government to crack down on states rights in the sale marijuana. So I can fit directly into the lean Conservative that could be a "potential ally" of this fellow.

@kathygriffin Channels ISIS Beheaders by Holding up Fake Bloody Trump Head

Now this is seriously going beyond the pale and CNN needs to fire her ASAP.
In it, Griffin, wearing a blue dress, is shown holding up a "head," streaked with what appears to be blood, of President Trump by the hair. At one point, she drops it. At another point, she jokes to Shields that they're going to have to run away to Mexico after the images go public.
She is trying to be "Edgy" and relevant but pretty much shows how deranged the anti-Trump left are. If this same fake head thing was done to Obama then that person would never find a job again.

Wait, Tequila is Linked to Weight Loss?

Hmm this sounds like an ad waiting to happen from the Taquila industry.
Good news, then, that a study has found a link between tequila and weight loss.
According to research presented at a meeting of the American Chemical Society, everyone’s favourite party spirit can help lower your blood sugar too.
Specifically, it’s the sugars that naturally occur in the agave plant from which tequila is made.
These sugars are called agavins - which is not the same as agave syrup - and are non-digestible which means they act as a dietary fibre and won’t raise your blood sugar.
“Agavins are not expensive and they have no known side effects, except for those few people who cannot tolerate them,” said Dr Mercedes G. López.
She added that agavins, like other fructans, are the best sugars to help support growth of healthful microbes in the mouth and intestines.
What’s more, agavins can help people feel fuller and thus eat less.
Hmm, maybe a sugar free margarita with a meal might be a way to eat less of it. Worth a try I guess.

Way to Be Stupid #AnthonyAguirreJuniorHigh: Gives the "Most Likely to Become a Terrorist" Award to a 13 Year Old

This is not funny in any context at all.
Seventh-grader Lizeth Villanueva has been in her school’s academic honors program for two years. She gets good grades and has never been a discipline problem. Yet on Tuesday, her teacher gave her a “most likely to become a terrorist” award.
It was supposed to be a joke, part of a mock end-of-the-year awards ceremony at Anthony Aguirre Junior High in Channelview, Tex., near Houston, where a group of teachers hand certificates to students. Lizeth, 13, said her teacher “just laughed” when she signed and handed her the certificate, just one day after the Manchester arena terrorist attack in Britain.
These teachers were supposed to be teaching an honors program? This wouldn't be funny even on Colbert if they gave this so-called "award" to Sean Spicer or someone. Hell, there would probably be huge backlash. And they added insult to injury by doing it one day after 22 people were killed by a terrorist. I would have tore it up in front of the laughing teacher and thrown it in her face.

Well #Leakers to the @nytimes Might Have Finally Gone too Far by Publishing Bloody Bomb Fragments from Manchester Attack

Well I think the leakers have finally bitten off more they can chew.
On Wednesday, the New York Times outraged British police and government officials when it published photos appearing to show debris from the attack.
They included bloodstained fragments from the bomb and the backpack used to conceal it.
Greater Manchester Police were said to be "furious" and said they would stop sharing information with the US.
Its chief constable Ian Hopkins said the leak undermined the investigation and had distressed families "already suffering terribly with their loss".
Nothing like publishing a picture of murder weapon of 22 people for no particular reason. All it does is make things difficult for the Manchester Police Department. What makes it worse is the bomb fragment is streaked with blood so it makes things even more lurid and horrible. Is that the victims blood or the homicide bomber? The so-called Grey Lady "Paper of Record" is a joke.

#FreedomCaucus Leader Mark Meadows Cries about Pre-existing Conditions: Um Cover them No Questions Asked Moron

This is the kind of thing that I hate about the stiff-necked "Freedom" Caucus in Congress.
The report said people with preexisting conditions in states that could accept a waiver under an AHCA provision could see their premiums skyrocket and even be priced out of the insurance market.
Byrd reported that Meadows was "surprised" when he was shown the section and he became "emotional" and "choked back tears" talking about his father's and sister's battles with cancer.
Yes if they beat cancer they might never been able to get insurance again under a bill this guy just voted for. Hell, they actually embarrassed the President to vote for that garbage bill. And it is all to save some filthy lucre for insurance companies and to maybe cut rates by a few bucks.

Hopefully, the Senate bill will force them to cover pre-existing conditions with no waivers or opt-outs or other nonsense. Just say that this was one of the good things of Obamacare and move forward. I don't mind paying more for insurance so that if Rep. Meadows father and sister actually beat cancer (which is a high probability with CAR-T and cancer immunotherapy) they would have been able to buy insurance again. Cover them no questions asked.

iPhone Saves Manchester Bombing Victims Life: @Apple Give her a New One and Ask her to Be in a Commercial

Now that is one tough phone.
Lisa Bridgett, 45, was talking on her phone after the Ariana Grande concert when the blast sent a steel nut hurtling toward her head, according to The Telegraph.
The nut tore off her finger but deflected off her phone and cut through her cheek and lodged in her nose, according to her hubby, Steve.
If not for that phone that steel nut would have probably killed her dead. I think Apple needs to give her an iPhone 8 and maybe ask her to be in a commercial. Their device pretty much saved her life so its kind of an interesting metaphor for technology over hate.

Dems go on Fishing Expedition looking for Trump Loans at Deutsche Bank

Here we go again. The Dems looking for anything at all to hit Trump with.
In a letter Tuesday to Deutsche U.S. CEO John Cryan, five legislators ask for results from internal reviews the bank conducted on matters relating to Russia. One involves the "mirror trading" scandal for which Deutsche already has paid $630 million in fines, the other being personal accounts for Trump family members at the bank.
The letter from members of the House Financial Services Committee seeks more transparency on the trading scandal and information on "whether loans Deutsche Bank made to President Trump were guaranteed by the Russian Government, or were in any way connected to Russia."
So they are asking for more information on something DB already paid a fine over as well as bank statements for Trump family members with the absence of a crime? That is what I call Congressional Overreach and should show what a Dem Congress could be in 2018. They will just waste everyone's time and try to pull these kinds of stunts. This is a hilarious statement as well:
Though the letter is posted on the committee's website, it does not appear to have bipartisan support, nor is it clear whether the committee could compel Deutsche to provide the information.
Yeah, I wonder what law allows Congress to get banking records of an American citizen when they haven't even committed a crime? This is fishing at its best.

Wait Who Leaked This? Trump talking to Duterte about Nuclear Subs.

I think they need some plumbers to stop this kind of thing walking off because it is getting worse and worse.
The report was based on a Philippine transcript of the call that was circulated on Tuesday under a "confidential" cover sheet by the Americas division of the Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs.
In a show of force, the United States has sent the nuclear-powered USS Carl Vinson aircraft carrier to waters off the Korean peninsula, where it joined the USS Michigan, a nuclear submarine that docked in South Korea in late April.

Isn't relaying troop movements of something secret like a Boomer Sub an act of sedition? I mean you cannot hide an aircraft carrier but a sub is supposed to be silent and secret. Also you figure that the President talking to another world leader shouldn't get the New York Times since it could endanger national security. But anything to take down Trump is fair game.

Alien Megastructure Star KIC 8462852 Dims Again: My Money on Alien Travel Season

I think someone is going to visit a nearby solar system for vacation this year.
Late last week, astronomers around the world prepared to work through the weekend observing one of the most enigmatic stars known to humanity: KIC 8462852, better known as Tabby's Star, Boyajian's Star or the "alien megastructures star." Amateur and pro star watchers trained telescopes on the star some 1,400 light-years away, and now we're able to get an early look at those observations and take a few tiny, tentative steps toward solving the mystery of this very weird star.
I mean you need a lot of power in order to send alien ships to another solar system so that would explain the dimming.

American Bar Association Sends Letter saying Saudi Arms Deal is Illegal but Didn't Send one to Obama?

Ah here we go with the whats bad for Trump didn't effect Obama.
Obama approved a record-breaking $115 billion in arms sales to the Saudis during his time in office, but the country’s leaders frequently claimed he abandoned them because of his nuclear diplomacy with Iran and reluctance to strongly intervene in Syria. Trump is expected to speak of the military deal as a sign of a renewed commitment to the longtime U.S. partner ― even though he often criticized the Saudis on the campaign trail.
The Obama Saudi arms deal was approved in Sept 2016. The Saudi's have been bombing in Yemen since 2015. Its the same Saudis bombing the same Yemeni rebels in 2017. Where was the human rights arm of the Bar Association in Sept 2016? Oh if Obama is doing it then its quite legal or whatever. Case-in-point verson of a double standard.

The Press Hates Donald Trump: Now Harvard gives Us the Hard Numbers

Yeah, their hate might be unprecedented.
Of the total news stories examined, 41 percent focused on Trump, which was triple the coverage for previous presidents for the same period
And of that group, the tone was resoundingly negative — 80 percent of all stories, to be exact. That would be just shy of double the first 100 days of Barack Obama and significantly more than George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton.
This was before firing Comey. I bet we are moving into the 90% or more territory now.

Wait did LaVar Ball Just Threaten Female Reporter Kristine Leahy?

Wow, this sounds pretty serious.
“They wouldn’t want to work with you anyway, because you don’t respect women,” Leahy said.
“She’s after you today,” Cowherd said.
“Oh, I don’t respect women? But I’m the one who’s married. I’m good,” Ball said. “She can say what she want. She’s trying to — I never disrespect women. But I tell you what: if you act like that, guess what? Something’s coming to you. And it’s OK.”
I guess something's coming to you could mean a lot of things.  But it doesn't sound like something good. In any case this LaVar Ball thing is getting out of hand. I think it might be hurting the brand more than it might be helping.

Thanks @realDonaldTrump: His Comey Stupidity is Dropping the Market 300 Points

Well, here is the market weighing in on this whole Trump mess of the last few days.
Wednesday’s drop in markets comes after Tuesday evening saw the second damaging story for President Donald Trump in as many days.
The New York Times reported Tuesday evening that Trump asked former FBI director James Comey to to end an inquiry into ties former national security advisor Michael Flynn had to Russia.
And this report came just a day after The Washington Post reported Trump revealed “highly classified” information to Russia’s foreign minister.
Trump telling Comey to end the investigation then firing him a few months later might not be actual obstruction of justice since it really didn't change the investigation. I mean Comey himself wasn't doing the investigation but people at the FBI were. I guess you can argue that it puts a chill into them but they shouldn't really fear Trump if they are honest people.

One thing it did do is remove a very well liked head of the FBI and the "Deep State" is now getting revenge on Trump by "weaponizing the media." All of these leaks can be lies made from whole cloth but by the time they are refuted they have already done their damage.

Wait Breast Milk Might Cure Cancer? Something called alpha-lactalbumin in It Kills Cancer Cells

Now this is an interesting bit of accidental science.
The accidental discovery of the effects of a breast milk compound, nicknamed “Hamlet” by scientists, could mean a more effective and targeted way to kill cancerous tumor cells.
Researchers from the University of Lunt in Sweden have revealed some positive results after studying the effects Hamlet has on bladder cancer patients. In the early trials, those injected with the compound began to shed dead tumor cells through their urine within days.
“There’s something magical about Hamlet’s ability to target tumor cells and kill them,” Dr. Catharina Svanborg told the Daily Mail.
But the discovery came completely by accident while the team was researching antibiotics.
The breast milk contained something called alpha-lactalbumin which kills cancer cells. I wonder if that compound can be used for other types of cancer. Bladder cancer is no joke so if something can be used to kill it we might have something very good on our hands.

#Alexa Just added a Feature that Might Get Me to Buy It: It Reads Notifications Now

Hmm, this would be super useful.
Alexa is the first to get this sort of functionality, and it's one that Siri and Google Assistant still lack. Owners of the Amazon Echo will soon be able to walk in the front door and ask it to read out any notifications from various third parties, such as the latest headlines from The Washington Post or weather threats from AccuWeather. (Imagine if you could just place your iPhone or Android phone on the counter and ask it to do the same.)
I would set it up to query ETrade so I would be able to have it tell me if my stocks were up or down when I wake up. Even if all it says is "Your stocks are green today" I would like it. Or have it say "The Price of Oil is $47 a barrel or something like that." It would also be nice to have it read stories about my stocks as well.

Then I would set for the "News of the Day." Kind of like a talk radio setup without the endless commercials and such. It would be nice to curate stories as well so I would avoid those WaPo headlines mentioned in the article above.

Instagram Copies Snapchats Selfie Filters: I Would Hate to be Long @SNAP

It seems Facebook is gunning for them in the worst way.
Today Instagram Stories adds a more subtle and mature but error-prone copycat of Snapchat’s beloved augmented reality selfie filters. The eight initial “face filters,” as Instagram calls them, work exactly like Snapchat, and let you add virtual koala ears, nerd glasses, a butterfly crown or wrinkle-smooth makeup to yourself and friends in photos or videos.
For every Snapchat flower crown or Dog ears there will be a Butterfly Crown or Koala Ears. Pretty much everything Snapchat can do Instagram will copy. More of the cannibalizing effect in the world of tech.

History Repeating: Assad pulls a Nazi Trick by Disposing of Political Prisoners then Cremating the Bodies

However, the world press freaked out when Spicer said Hitler didn't stoop to using chemical weapons.
A pained-looking Sean Spicer faced off with a disgusted Wolf Blitzer on Tuesday evening in a tense exchange that did not leave the White House press secretary in better shape following his outrageous claim earlier in the day that Adolf Hitler “didn’t even sink to using chemical weapons” in World War II.First,
The point was that Assad is using Nazi style tactics and this is another one he is doing
The State Department on Monday accused the Syrian government of using a newly built crematorium to dispose of political prisoners killed at a notorious prison.
An estimated 50 people a day are being hanged at the Sadnaya military prison, said Stuart Jones, acting assistant secretary for the Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs.
I'm sure Blizer would rush to Assads defense by saying he is hanging those prisoners and not stringing them up by piano wire or using a firing squad to kill them like the Nazi's did. Also I wonder if our Congresswoman representing Assad's Syria and the 2nd District of Hawaii got to tour Saydnaya prison when she went on the Syrian Dictator goodwill tour?

Family Kicked off Jet Blue Flight due to Cake: Or Why People Need to Film One Another if there is an Air Altercation

Now these are some wildly different stories from both sides.
JetBlue has pointed blame squarely on the Burkes. According to a spokesperson from the airline, the family stored the cake in a compartment reserved for emergency equipment. “The customers became agitated, cursed and yelled at the crew and made false accusations about a crew member’s fitness to fly,” stated JetBlue spokesman Doug McGraw.
Burke sees things a little differently, claiming no one in his family raised their voices and they were never told why they had to leave the plane. As Burke described to ABC 7, it appears the situation escalated when the flight crew couldn’t agree on what to do with the cake.
Screaming and yelling versus no one raising their voices. Maybe it is time for someone to invent a very small blue tooth camera that can be worn to clear up these kinds of things. Its a sad place where this kind of thing becomes necessary though.

Britian's NHS Attacked by Ransomware: Turns out They are Still Running Windows XP

That is why you have to upgrade to newer Windows because this is egregious.
Nigel Inkster, former director of operations and intelligence for MI6, told Sky News that one of the reasons the NHS in particular was vulnerable was its outdated software system. “A lot of hospital trusts in the U.K. — 40-plus last time I checked — are running their systems on Windows XP software, which hasn’t been supported by Microsoft for two or three years,” he said. “In other words, Microsoft is no longer looking for and seeking to repair vulnerabilities in the system.”
I wonder how their backup infrastructure works or even if there is something air-gapped in place or not. This is a bad deal indeed because it is life or death. One of the worst legacies of having socialized medicine is that there seems to be no money for many crucial things like Windows upgrades.

St. Olaf College Racist Note Turns out to be a Hoax

You pay $44,180 a year for this kind of nonsense.
A note that used the n-word and threatened a black female student at St. Olaf College — sparking an intense protest that led to classes being shut down for a day as student demonstrators accused the school of institutional racism — “was not a genuine threat,” the school’s president said Wednesday.
What is interesting is a racist hoax created real racism in its wake.
Protesters also put up signs that included language such as “I’m sick of white tears” and “F*ck your white complacency.”
“The campus admins are allowing the commons area to become a bulletin board of complaints against white people. No action has been taken to remove the signs, and no students dare to touch them since there are newly-installed cameras everywhere,” a student who emailed The Fix said.
They even had a side-order of big bother added in as well. Hopefully the hoaxer will have some sort of consequences brought against her. Faking racism is a bad deal.

Mets Pitcher Matt Harvey Missed Starts and was Suspended Because of High School Style Lady Troubles?

Um, I guess it happens to all high school kids. Wait Matt Harvey is a 28 year old millionaire athlete.
The Post said Harvey "became an emotional wreck on May 2" when he saw pictures of model Adriana Lima with the Patriots wide receiver -- one of her many professional athlete ex-boyfriends -- at Rihanna's Met Gala after-party, which was hosted by Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen. Sources told the Post that Lima, who'd been in a relationship with Harvey, and Edelman were "flirty," and Lima subsequently unfollowed Harvey on Instagram.
Uh oh, she dumped the pitcher for the football star and even went to the rich and famous people's adult prom aka the Met Gala. I wonder if she was wearing Edelman's letterman jacket as well?

Then she called him and gave him the bad news. She could have just sent a frowny face or a poop emoji:
Lima called him while he was playing golf before the Mets game Saturday and had a conversation that made him even more upset, sources said.
As a result, he failed to show at CitiField later that day and drew the suspension.
She was with the handsome football player and not the weird looking unshaven baseball guy. Now the next thing to occur is Harvey and Edelman will get into a shoving match after second period as Lima screams in the background. Someone needs to call the guidance councilor already.

Dr. Lu Le, at UT Southwestern Might Have Found the Gene to Create Hair

Hmm, male pattern baldness might be a thing of the past.
The researchers found that a protein called KROX20, more commonly associated with nerve development, in this case turns on in skin cells that become the hair shaft.
UT Southwestern researchers will now try to find out if the KROX20 in cells and the SCF gene stop working properly as people age, leading to the graying and hair thinning seen in older people – as well as in male pattern baldness, Dr. Le said.
There might be no more gray hair or baldness. JNJ might need to eventually plug the revenue hole from Rogaine sometime in the future.

Kind of an Indictment of @nbcsnl That There has Never Been a Official Cast Member to Play Sulu in 42 Years

I guess there has been no Asian cast members on SNL in 42 Years. Maybe they will find someone in 42 more but probably not.
When it came to casting Hikaru Sulu, however, S.N.L. ran into a bit of an obstacle. In fact, in its 42-year history, there has never been an official cast member on Saturday Night Live who could play Sulu.
They added some blacks at long last in the last few years but Asians are still persona non grata for SNL.

@neimanmarcus (AKA Needless Markup) and Thier Ilk Might be Circling the Drain

This isn't good news if you are high-end retail investor.
As Suzanne Kapner and Ryan Dezember recently reported in the Wall Street Journal, Neiman Marcus, the highest of high-end department stores, is now struggling as even its wealthy shoppers are discovering the benefits of and possibilities for discount shopping, both online and in stores. As Steven Dennis has written here at Forbes.com, similar struggles are affecting high-end specialty stores such as Tiffany, Kors, Saks and Nordstrom. The days of strong pricing power that allowed for continual revenue growth at luxury retailers appear to be over.
I mean everyone likes getting a deal even if you are buying $500 shoes. One thing that is very interesting is this trend.
The second front in the battle destroying the luxury retailers is being fought on the internet. The presence of a few billion internet shoppers worldwide allow niche producers to reach wider markets. This provides shoppers everywhere with access to high quality and unique goods produced at small scale. Plus, having avoided the costs of brick and mortar stores and large marketing budgets, these goods are often available at much lower prices.
I have been buying some clothes from an online retailer called Gilt.com. They have all sorts of designers I have never heard about that make great quality clothes. They are also almost always at a reasonable price as well. So a dress shirt that I wear to work costs like $20 to $40 which is a price that I would not get a Neiman. The clothes look like the same quality you could get from there but the price is so reasonable.

I would be willing to bet that new designers would rather make their clothes for Gilt and be able to put more of the money into their pockets than an brick-and-mortar. I haven't even set foot in the part of the mall that has those products in like several years now. I would be willing to bet the next time I do I will be looking at empty store space.

@chrissyteigen Says Trump Hurting her Mental Health: Um, Maybe Ignore him for a While and You Will Feel Better

Some stars just can't take Trump.
Teigen then explained she had resorted to having one of her teeth "shaved down" due to being overwhelmed with anxiety.
“Today I had a tooth shaved down because crippling anxiety makes me grind and rock my teeth on one side. I blame trump," she said.
“I also had Botox in my jaw muscle to relieve tension from constantly clinching. I was not like this before. Pay my bill, POS POTUS. Politics aside, I feel relief for the first time in many months. It really works.
Maybe turn off MSNBC and CNN and just forget about him for a while. Maybe do a Trumpless day where she doesn't look at any Trump related stuff. I mean how is Trump actually directly affecting a millionaire model other then her reacting to him? It would help her mental health to turn off MSNBC and CNN and just watch the Food Network or something.

GOP Coming to the Realization that Obamacare cannot be Repealed. I Guess Only a Retool is in Order

Well at least they are becoming more realistic.
Some Republicans appear to be losing hope in the party's ability to repeal the Affordable Care Act. Rep. Mark Sanford of South Carolina suggested as much on Tuesday, saying that a "full repeal was, in essence, a pipe dream from the very start."
Sanford made the comments during an interview with Vice News reporter Alexandra Jaffe.
He is 100% right. They cannot just repeal everything now that certain things like preexisting conditions are non-negotiable. I guess all those futile repeal votes the GOP did in the Obama years were not even held credible by the people voting for them. In any case they need to drop all repeal and replace talk and simply do a retool it instead. Fix the high prices and such and move on to tax reform.

Colbert goes from 0 to Homophobe: He Won't be Punished because the Slur was Against Trump #FireColbert

This is the Bush Derangement Syndrome all over again.
"Sir, you attract more skinheads than free Rogaine," Colbert said during the rant. "You have more people marching against you than cancer. You talk like a sign-language gorilla who got hit in the head. In fact, the only thing your mouth is good for is being Vladimir Putin's c--k holster."
That last one is what he is getting heat for. However, he will not get punished because he directed it against Trump. If he used it against Obama at any time he would be fired in a minute. Hell, if he used it against nearly any woman in politics (maybe not Kellyanne Conway) he would be fired. The good old double standard at CBS.

@MarkWarner ‏Gives 2 to 1 Odds that Trump Impeached in First Term: Forgets GOP in Charge of Congress

Um sorry Mr Senator the GOP will not be impeaching the President under any circumstances.
Senator Mark Warner, the vice chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, privately told friends he puts the odds at two to one against the President completing a full term, the New Yorker reported.
Mr Warner's spokesperson did not deny he had made the remarks, but told the paper the Senator was "not referring specifically to the Russia investigation, but rather the totality of challenges the President is currently facing."
I really think he should recuse himself from the Senate Intelligence Committee because this kind of musing does not sound like he can be impartial. In any case if the Dems are stupid enough to bring articles on impeachment I'm pretty sure they will be defeated soundly and then have a disaster on their hands in 2018. It is a ticket to a filibuster proof margin for the GOP as they can get.

Sorry @Marvel your Reassurances Mean Nothing: Making Captain America a Nazi is Unforgivable #BoycottMarvel

Marvel is back-peddling like mad because fans are pissed off.
Marvel’s new big event Secret Empire officially begins tomorrow, but an immense level of backlash has been leveled at the company’s use of a symbolic figure like Captain America as the villainous head of Hydra, an organization affiliated with Nazis. It’s gotten to the point where Marvel has had to release an official statement in an attempt to reassure fans.
Not even "affiliated" they are an actual offshoot of the Nazi party if you read Marvels canon. "Hail Hydra" is modeled after the Nazi Salute. All of the famous Marvel Nazis (Red Skull, Baron Stucker, Arnim Zola) were all members of Hydra.

Making Captain America a Nazi is the lowest of the low and is only there to sell books and stir controversy. Until they fire whoever came up with this "spitting in the face of an American icon" I'm never buying another Marvel book.

@SenWarren Goes After Obama on Economy

It looks like the Dems are finally figuring out what lost them the 2016 election.
“I think President Obama, like many others in both parties, talks about a set of big national statistics that look shiny and great but increasingly have giant blind spots,” she said. “That GDP, unemployment, no longer reflect the lived experiences of most Americans. And the lived experiences of most Americans is that they are being left behind in this economy. Worse than being left behind, they’re getting kicked in the teeth.”
No it wasn't the Russians or Comey or whomever. It was the fact that the so-called "party of the people," the Dems, didn't seem to care about everyday Americans at all. They were hurting and Trump (and Bernie as well) seemed to be listening. So they voted their pocketbooks for Trump because they figured a businessman can fix the economy better than a career politician. Seems simple if you look at it that way.

Gobekli Tepe Stone Tells of Comet Strike in 11,000BC

My question is how did they get knowledge of something that happened 1000s of years before the stone was carved?
Scientists have translated an ancient stone tablet found at a temple in Turkey. The tablet confirms that a comet struck Earth around 11,000BC, leading to global destruction including the extinction of the woolly mammoth and the rise of new civilizations.
The carvings were found in Gobekli Tepe in southern Turkey, the world's oldest known temple and a site for ancient observatory and worship. In fact, the temple dates back to 9,000BC, approximately 6,000 years older than Stonehenge.
I'm still thinking that Gobekli Tepe stone was carved by Atlanteans.

Another Victim of LaVar Ball's Meglomania: Chino Hills (Calif.) head coach, Stephan Gilling

I guess placating an insane person is more important than it is coaching kids.
The firing came after Gilling and Ball feuded for much of the season. Ball resorted to taking multiple public shots at Gilling when the Huskies' season ended shy of a state championship. Their relationship soured after a disagreement in a Las Vegas tournament, escalating with Ball's refusal to leave the team's locker room.
It must have been nuts dealing with Ball during that season. I guess Gilling can just coach at a different school that does not have crazy parents bothering him. You can tell where Chino Hills High has its bread buttered as well.
In March, Chino Hills athletic director Jeff Schuld said that the school would side with Gilling over Ball despite Ball's public claims that Gilling would be replaced. Gilling, though, would be fired four weeks later.
Chino Hills will now look for its third head basketball coach in three seasons.
Yes, three coaches in three seasons says more about the school than the coaches. I think they are wanting to get that recognition as the school that had 3 NBA "stars" than the one that kept its commitments. Maybe they should just hire LaVar Ball and see if he can do better than 30-3. I mean Ball claims he could beat Michael Jordan one-on-one.
