Obama Finally Found a Reason to Get Tough With Iran

I guess stealing an election then murdering protesting teenagers wasn't enough to get Obama talking tough on Iran. It seems that hiding nuclear sites is what finally got him peeved.

Backed by other world powers, President Barack Obama declared Friday that Iran is speeding down a path to confrontation and demanded that Tehran quickly "come clean" on all nuclear efforts and open a newly revealed secret site for close international inspection. He said he would not rule out military action if the Iranians refuse.

Holy crap that sounds a lot like G.W. Bush. At least that should reassure the Israelis that they won't have to blow these plants up all by themselves. The idea of Israeli F-16s flying over Iraqi airspace with our troops on the ground is scary in the extreme. In any case I kind of like this steely version of Obama who "will not rule out military action."

Now if he could really show his hawk feathers if he said " Gen. McCrystal needs 40,000 more troops in Afghanistan I say that is not enough. I will be sending an additional 80,000 to show our commitment to the Afghani people." I guess being in the big chair makes you think more like Bush (when it comes to national security anyway) and less like Kucinich.
