Sony Delays Home: Looks Like Fools

Again and again the idiots at Sony make bad decision after bad decision.
The Japanese conglomerate said Thursday that it has delayed Home, its
much awaited online network for the PS3, from an expected release this fall to
next year. Instead, Sony announced a new game controller that analysts say is
unlikely to affect demand for the console.

Coupled with a weak game lineup, the moves could dampen sales of
the PS3 and result in a bleak holiday season for the electronics giant -- unless
it comes through with another price cut.

So what might have been a decent holiday for them will turn out to be another big mess unless they constrain margins further? What kind of choice that is? Sony provide yet another reason to buy a Wii or an Xbox360.

What makes it even worse there Sony doesn't have a game yet where you can say "that game is great I have to get a PS3." The two exclusives that they cooked up Lair and Heavenly Sword have been big fat jokes as far as I can tell. We may be seeing Sony turn the PS3 into the next Sega Saturn if they keep screwing up like this. MSFT and Nintendo should be licking their chops because they will own yet another Christmas season.
