Dems Don the Generals Hat: It Doesn't Fit

So let me get this strait. The Dems are going against the recommendations of a 4 star general who is in charge of the lives of 152,000 troops in the combat zone? They seriously think they can run a war better then a guy who has dedicated his entire life to military service and deals with what is "on the ground" in Iraq on a daily basis? And again Reid shows that his rhetoric is really not very "progressive" at all:
"I call on the Senate Republicans to not walk lockstep as they have
with the president for years in this war," Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid,
D-Nev., said at a news conference. "It's time to change. It's the president's
war. At this point it also appears clear it's also the Senate Republicans'
war."

No, it is also the Iraqi's War as well since they will be the ones who are going to die in the thousands if we pull out without setting the ground for our withdrawal first. I thought the "progressive" agenda is one where you protect people that might get slaughtered and try to prevent civil wars before they start. This part really takes the cake though.
In a bold challenge to Petraeus' assessment, Reid said the "situation on the ground in Iraq has not changed at all." He later acknowledged gains in Anbar province, "but it's like the big balloon that you push on one side and it comes out someplace else."
Patraeus just said that their were gains and an actual change "on the ground" in Iraq just a few days before. I think a 4 star General in charge of the troops is a better judge of these things then some Senator from Nevada. The hubris on these Dems is really something to behold. Can you really trust them to be Commander and Chief when they won't listen to generals coming back from the combat zone?
