The Zune is Dead: Apple Wins Again

I think Microsoft needs totally give up on everything except for Windows, Office, and Xbox360. Everything else they touch turns to crap and is disposed of.

Bloomberg is reporting that Microsoft has finally decided to put an official end to its Zune media player line. “A person familiar with the decision” has informed them that Microsoft will not be putting out any new hardware in the line, and will be henceforward focusing on integrating Zune functionality with the Windows Phone 7 platform.

Yeah Windows Phone 7 and whatever device that comes along that runs it will take the place of the Zune. I'm sure in a few years Windows Phone 7 will be retired as yet another dismal failure in a long line of dismal failures.

Apple will have the IPhone Millennium which will have "virtual hive" storage, a full 3D display,  and the ability to run over 2 billion "cloud apps." It will also be the size of a postage stamp and people will camp out to buy it.

While Microsoft will announce that 2 years from that time Windows Phone 8 will launch with full Office XXL integration and an Application Store with 30 "Start me up programs" that include Calculator and Mine Sweeper. They will pay the Rolling Stones $20 million for rights to "Start me Up" for their big launch event.

There will be 3 devices that use Windows Phone 8 which are all made by Nokia.  In a year they will all be shipped off to Bangladesh so that the parts can be stripped and go into something useful.

The whole venture will waste $250 million in shareholder value and Ballmer will pay himself a a bonus and jump around saying Windows Phone 9 will be the best thing every invented. Windows Phone 9 will be killed 6 months after launch.

I wonder if people at Apple get tired of kicking Microsoft's ass every chance they get?
