Only 17 percent of Americans see President Barack Obama as a strong and decisive military leader, according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll taken after the United States and its allies began bombing Libya.
Nearly half of those polled view Obama as a cautious and consultative commander-in-chief and more than a third see him as indecisive in military matters.
I mean Obama pretty much took months to deploy half the troops that the commanders needed in Afghanistan. Now it looks like that measure might not have been enough. Then he tried to take credit for pulling troops out of Iraq even though they were originally ordered out by Bush at the end of his second term.
Then he waits precious weeks to orders a no-fly zone in Libya from a soccer field in Rio right after finishing his NCAA brackets. I mean the rebels were nearly at "capitulate and get massacred" levels before we decided to do anything at all. What was worse is he didn't even talk to Congress to authorize the action for whatever reason.
Now we are handing off leadership to NATO and are probably trying to look for an early exit and some ass cover when Ghadaffi manages to hold onto power. Obama is such a military neophyte a kid playing Civilization could probably best him in decision making speed and efficiency.
