UN Approves No-Fly Zone: Um Too Little Too Late

Well, dictators of the world take note you have two weeks at least until the slow-assed UN does anything.

The vote in the 15-member council was 10-0 with five abstentions, including Russia and China.

The United States, France and Britain had pushed for speedy approval.

French Prime Minister Francois Fillon said if the resolution was approved, France would support military action against Gadhafi within hours. The U.S. said it was preparing for action. Several Arab nations were expected to provide backup.

This would have been great news 2 weeks ago when the rebels were moving on Tripoli. They could have ended the war indefinitely and Ghadaffi would be out on his ass. But of course all the foot dragging will now end up with a partitioned Libya. Way to go UN you have waited just long enough to create a permanent mess of that country.
