I think these people should understand that *any* low flying jet plane in Manhattan would immediately be thought of as a terrorist attack.
The White House apologized Monday after one of Barack Obama's presidential planes flew alarmingly low over New York city, sending residents into a panic and triggering fears of a new 9/11.
Of course it would have all been cool if it was to rush Obama to an emergency Swine Flu meeting of the United Nations or something. But the reason given was an absolute joke.
Sources said the chief reason for the panic-inducing flight was to create souvenir pictures of Air Force One flying over the Statue of Liberty to be given out - like a presidential tie clip - to family, friends or supporters.
Yup they scared New Yorkers and forced some to evacuate their buildings for presidential souvenir photos. I think there needs to be Congressional hearings on this and whoever is responsible for okaying this mission needs to resign.
