Immigration Bill Moves to the House: GOP Determined to Not Have a Republican President for the Next 30 Years

Well at least they have their principals.

In 2012, Obama won re-election with the backing of 71 percent of Hispanic voters and 73 percent of Asian-American voters. A thwarted immigration overhaul could again send those voting blocs to Democrats' side.

"We wouldn't even be where we are right now had it not been that 70 percent of Hispanics voted for President Obama, voted Democratic in the last election," Pelosi said. "That caused an epiphany in the Senate, that's for sure. So, all of a sudden now, we have already passed comprehensive immigration reform in the Senate. That's a big victory."

Far be it for me to agree with Nancy Pelosi but she is 100% right in saying this. You cannot get a person to vote for you if you want to deport their mother or grandmother. It is just that simple. The Senate understands this but it seems the House doesn't care. In any case if immigration reform dies at the hands of the Far Right then its time to form the Centrist Party. This group would ignore the Far Left and the Far Right and get things done for America. I would use the Democratic-Republican Party from Thomas Jefferson's time. Maybe the Pragmatist Party would work as a name.
