Physicists Thinks Higgs Boson Goes Back in Time to Kill Themselves

Now this is a theory so interesting that it sounds like the basis for a Star Trek episode.

A pair of otherwise distinguished physicists have suggested that the hypothesized Higgs boson, which physicists hope to produce with the collider, might be so abhorrent to nature that its creation would ripple backward through time and stop the collider before it could make one, like a time traveler who goes back in time to kill his grandfather.

It seems that if the collider keeps breaking then they would have something here. If they switch this thing on in December and there is another major malfunction we might have something here. The theory that there is some kind of force that fights against man getting certain knowledge is pretty nuts. Maybe this "God Particle" is on the list of "Things Man Was Not Meant to Know" right after the answer to the question "Do I look fat in this dress?"
