So these girls wanted to beat this other girl just to get famous on YouTube and then ABC goes ahead and shows the video thus making them famous.
The eight face felony battery and false imprisonment charges tied to the attack caught on tape and posted online for the world — and law enforcement — to see. The three teens accused of dumping the victim after the beating also face an additional felony kidnapping charge. Judd said he will urge the state prosecutor's office to charge all of the teens except the 14-year-old as adults.
So they are taking the story from the possible few thousand views of YouTube to a much larger audience for pretty much no reason at all. ABC News could have reported the thing with still photos or just showed the house where it took place. Instead they showed part of the actual video and then a mug shot gallery of the minor girls involved.
So the fame that the girls wanted from YouTube was immediately granted to them by ABC News instead. So the Main Stream Media gets yet another chance to make stars out of villains. I think the ABC News editor needs to use better judgement when it comes to this kind of thing.
