Well, at least he is finally embracing some GOP planks. Too bad they aren't off California but the far-left liberals will have his hide for that. In any case it is a start.

He addressed the expected outcry from disappointed environmentalists by saying he had studied the issue for more than a year and concluded it was the right call given the nation's voracious thirst for energy and the need to produce jobs and keep American businesses competitive.
Now all he has to do is reverse the Carter era ban on recycling nuclear fuel and his energy policy will closely match mine. If the Russians raise a non-proliferation stink then just point to France and Japan since they recycle most of their fuel already without proliferation (France is a nuclear power also.) That alone will solve the entire Yucca Mountain problem and erase the "what do we do with the waste" problem with nuclear energy.
