I guess the climate change billionaire is about as knowledgeable about the planet as any 5th grader who flunked Earth Sciences.
Al: It definitely is, and it's a relatively new one. People think about geothermal energy — when they think about it at all — in terms of the hot water bubbling up in some places, but two kilometers or so down in most places there are these incredibly hot rocks, 'cause the interior of the earth is extremely hot, several million degrees, and the crust of the earth is hot …
Um, earth to Al Gore, if the earth's core was several million degrees it would be about the same temperature as the core of a star. I think nuclear fusion in the earths core would make it difficult to live on its surface since the surface of the sun is 6000 Celsius. I can't wait until he is elected the "Climate Pope" and gets to issue edicts on us lowly energy users.
